Executive Housekeeper

Position Description

  • Supervises all housekeeping employees, including in-house laundry and public area attendants.

  • Has the authority to hire or discharge.

  • Plans and assigns work assignments.

  • Provide training for new employees.

  • Audit and inspect housekeeping work assignments and request supplies.

  • Manages departmental budget and expenses.

  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays; will also work occasional MOD shifts on weekends.

  • Evaluates employees in order to promote when openings arise.

  • Maintains accurate time management of all employees within the department

  • Approves all supply requisitions such as brand changes.

  • Maintains a lost-and-found department and is responsible for all lost-and-found items; determines the rightful owner and sends accordingly.

  • Ultimately responsible for cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the entire hotel

  • Prepares Annual Housekeeping Budget.

  • Maintain stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linens, and uniforms.

  • Develop and implement Housekeeping systems and procedures.

  • Attending to and resolving guest complaints.

  • Coordinating with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance of rooms and public area.

  • Immediately attending to guest requests,

Position Requirements/Job Results:

  • Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills.

  • Ability to drive change and look for operational efficiencies.

  • Minimum 5 years of housekeeping experience including at least 2-3 years in Executive Housekeeper role.

  • Strong operational and technical knowledge of cleaning standards and laundry operations

  • Renovation experience beneficial.
