Michelle Church

Corporate Controller

Michelle Church is the Corporate Controller for Odyssey Hotels.  She has been within the hospitality industry for over 20 years. Michelle graduated with honors in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Waukesha County Technical College.  She also has experience in Business and Education with additional program training from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse.  Michelle has gained knowledge and experience by working in almost every facet of the hospitality industry. She has maintained positions such as Catering Manager, Corporate Sales Manager, Social Sales Manager, Director of Sales, Rooms Division Manager, Assistant General Manager, General Manager, Transition Team Manager, and Corporate Revenue Manager. Michelle plays an active role in Operations Management as new hotels are acquired and rebranded and she is part of the opening team for the company’s new hotel development.  Her strength lies in her leadership skills, implementing policies and procedures, controlling costs, budgets and analyzing finances.

Michelle is the past President and past Treasurer of the National Association of Catering Executives, Southern Wisconsin Chapter. She has dedicated volunteer time to the Hunger Task Force, Gilda’s Club, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Make-A-Wish Foundation and participates in events for the Wisconsin Humane Society.  She is also involved in making financial donations to the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Michelle’s approach to personal challenge is to continue to strive to find a balance between keeping employee morale up through fun and creative programs while still maintaining a healthy budget and bottom line to ensure financial strength and growth within the organization.

Michelle enjoys cooking, baking and entertaining for friends and family and exploring new restaurants and traveling.  She frequently makes time to explore museums, galleries, and attend community events. She loves watching Brewers and Packer games.
