Position Description


• Hotel sales experience strongly preferred.

• Friendly, professional communication.

• Strong computer and analytical skills.

• Previous housekeeping experience required.

Position Requirements/Job Results:

Compile reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales Department to include, but not limited to the annual and monthly Forecast, Marketing Budget, Lead Management System, Booking Report, star reports and Sales Meeting minutes

Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market trends and related information for development of new marketing strategies. Make recommendations to improve potential from various markets.

Attend and actively participate in all revenue calls..

Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.

Cultivate and maintain the sales culture at hotels by proactively providing ongoing trainings for associates.

Initiate preparation of computerized annual Sales & Marketing Plan and execute plans as outlined, critically examining and adjusting as deemed necessary by current market conditions.

Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure the ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies.

Coordinate group, transient, and catering bookings to maximize profits.

Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market.

Conduct site inspection of the hotel with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the property.

Develop strategies to increase market share.

Actively pursue new accounts through outside sales efforts.
